CONSTRUCTION HELPER
AYR Drywall & Reno’s has proudly served the greater Ontario area for over 18 years, offering a diverse range of drywall and related services for the commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential markets. Currently, we are in search of a self-motivated individual to fill a full-time Drywall Cleaner/Helper position within our company.
Primary Responsibilities – Drywall Cleaner/Helper
- Clean and prepare surfaces.
- Remove drywall and other debris at construction sites.
- Mix, pour, and spread materials.
- Load, unload, and transport construction materials.
- Clean and pile salvaged materials.
- Handle and maintain work equipment such as ladders, hoses, and more.
- Clean multi-level commercial and residential buildings throughout various construction stages.
- Maintain cleanliness at job sites.
- Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, and heavy debris.
Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy weight.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
- Reliability, initiative, flexibility, and a team player.

DRYWALL FINISHER
AYR Drywall & Reno’s has been proudly serving the greater Ontario area for more than 18 years, offering a diverse range of drywall and related services for the commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential markets. We are currently looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a full-time Drywall Finisher.
Primary Responsibilities – Drywall Finisher
- Prepare and clean surfaces.
- Mix plaster ingredients in a trough to achieve the desired consistency.
- Apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster using trowels and floats.
- Finish corners and angles in the final coat.
- Cure freshly plastered surfaces.
- Install cornices and trim.
- Spray acoustic materials or texture finishes on walls and ceilings.
- Join drywall panels using tape and plaster.
- Repair cracks and any other damage to drywall panels.
- Conceal imperfections or irregularities in the drywall surface.
- Apply layers of plaster with trowels to create a flat surface.
- Sand rough areas on the wall for a smooth finish.
- Skim the surface with a final layer of plaster in preparation for finishing work.
Requirements:
- Proven work experience in the Construction industry as a Drywall Finisher.
- Familiarity with various hand and power tools, including mixers, straightedges, and measuring tapes.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
- Trade certification is advantageous but not mandatory.

- Securely position sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists.
- Install metal corner beads to safeguard exterior corners.
- Attach drywall panels to the internal framework of the building.
- Ready panels for finishing by taping.
- Cut openings in panels for electrical outlets, air-conditioning units, and plumbing.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated work experience in the Construction industry as a Drywall Installer.
- Familiarity with various hand and power tools, such as screw guns, straightedges, and measuring tapes.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Capability to work both collaboratively and independently.
- Trade certification is advantageous but not mandatory.

STEEL STUD FRAMER
AYR Drywall & Reno’s has been a dedicated service provider in the greater Ontario area for more than 18 years, delivering a wide range of drywall and related services for commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential clients. Currently, we are in search of a self-driven individual to join our team in a full-time role as a Steel Stud Framer.
Primary Responsibilities – Steel Stud Framer
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and connect lightweight steel materials.
- Install boards securely into designated positions on walls, using screws as needed.
- Affix metal tracks to the structural framework of walls, ceilings, or partitions using nails, screws, or wire ties.
- Construct floor or ceiling frames by cutting and joining metal channels according to room or hallway plans.
- Build and set up metal stud framing and furring for both interior and exterior walls.
- Follow drawings to install bulkheads and ceilings accurately.
- Utilize hand and power tools, including straightedges and ladders, for daily tasks.
- Use chalk lines or laser levels to measure and mark metal frames and avoid miscalculations.
- Cut studs and metal runners precisely according to specified measurements.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated work experience in the Construction industry as a Metal Stud Framer.
- Familiarity with various hand and power tools, including pneumatic guns, straightedges, screw guns, and measuring tapes.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Display of physical and mental strength.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
